THE OTOPLASTY: It is a cosmetic surgery, what works is the auricular pavilion.

The otoplasty  that is mostly given when the ears are in   "A" ears in "telephone" there are several options. Generally what is done is to approach the ear canal to the scalp.

With the approach of the auricular pavilion external to the base of implantation,  what is achieved is to diminish the distance between these structures,   returning  its aesthetic form.

Another cause  is the repair of loss of continuity of ear lobe, area usually affected by the use of earrings.
